Facilitated Software Client’s Vision of Best- in-class Customer Service

Business Challenge

Our client, a legal service provider, operates under three primary product lines: (1) Legal Holds and Data Preservation, (2) Digital Data Collection, and (3) Data Processing and Searching. In 2019 they announced a partnership with an industry-leading provider of data processing tools. As part of this partnership, the client needed to replace its existing in-house components with data processing and searching components provided by their new partner. Previous integrations to internal systems and new functionality available in the partner tools all had to be maintained and/or supported in an existing microservice architecture.

Solution

Experis deployed a team of analysts, architects, software engineers and testers to perform our TrueStart assessment accelerator in an agile project framework. We worked closely with our client to identify a series of requirements for integration that would meet the needs of their new partnership. These milestones involved replacement of various functionalities within their existing data processing and searching product line. Using our TrueStart methodology, the possible courses of action were reviewed and prioritized collaboratively. Out of this process, a comprehensive set of materials was delivered that included:

  • Review of microservice architecture
  • Current functionality to be migrated
  • New functionality to be adopted
  • Process and workflow analysis
  • User stories for an initial backlog

Results

The client followed the proposed TrueStart recommendations to perform the necessary development. As specified in the implementation strategy, this was accomplished with a mixture of .NET Core, Java and, AWS Services in a microservice architecture. The stories in the backlog were delivered to production at an accelerated rate with a high level of test coverage.

This work successfully positioned our client to fulfill the obligations of its new partnership while continuing to support the needs of its customers with an enhanced set of features.
