The Challenge

A global technology client was experiencing operational setbacks due to outdated storage infrastructure. These legacy systems were impacting reliability, slowing productivity and complicating upgrades. The client needed to modernize its storage environment quickly while ensuring seamless integration of new hardware, smooth decommissioning of end-of-life systems and strict adherence to change management requirements.

How We Helped

Experis deployed a team of Scrum Masters to lead and manage the end-to-end storage refresh initiative. The team provided hands-on operational support and agile project management to plan, execute and track all phases of the effort.

Key actions included:

  • Coordinating deployment of new storage hardware, including rack installation, power and network provisioning, configuration and integration
  • Managing the safe and efficient decommissioning of legacy systems
  • Conducting daily Scrum ceremonies and maintaining real-time progress reports
  • Ensuring all changes aligned with ITMO processes and change management protocols

The Impact

The initiative successfully modernized the client’s storage environment and improved both efficiency and reliability.

  • Reduced downtime through effective hardware transition planning
  • Improved operational reliability by removing aging infrastructure
  • Enhanced visibility and accountability through detailed progress tracking
  • Delivered consistent documentation and knowledge transfer across all phases

This transformation created a more agile and resilient storage environment that supports ongoing growth and innovation.
