Automated Dashboard Reporting Saves Med Tech Operations $500K Annually

Automated dashboard reporting and streamlined data processes saved this med tech organization $500K annually.

The Challenge

A med tech organization needed to standardize and automate its key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide executive leadership with a unified view of operations. KPIs were fragmented across multiple systems and teams, requiring time-consuming manual data extraction and inconsistent reporting. This lack of cohesion limited the company’s ability to identify risks, demonstrate value, allocate resources effectively and drive continuous improvement.

How We Helped

Experis applied Agile and High Performing Team (HPT) principles to align with the client’s Agile SDLC framework. We led workshops with leadership to map business processes, understand existing systems, validate requirements through user testing and guide effective project execution.

We then automated the integration of 15 KPIs from eight different source systems into a centralized Tableau dashboard. This solution was supported by AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to ensure timely updates and reduce manual effort.

The Impact

The project delivered meaningful operational and financial improvements.

  • Saved approximately 4,000 hours of manual work annually
  • Reduced more than 100 full-time employee touchpoints
  • Generated an estimated $500,000 in annual cost savings
  • Replaced manual reporting with automated, monthly updates
  • Created a shared understanding of KPIs across teams and functions

By streamlining data processes and automating dashboard reporting, the organization shifted from reactive reporting to proactive decision-making. This enabled better visibility into performance, improved communication of value and more accurate resource planning, including compliance efforts such as EU-MDR.
