Only 1% of patients who qualify for bariatrics surgery ever receive it. While our client has a strong market share, growth has been flat over the past five years. Looking to increase the conversion rate among interested individuals, our client needed a simplified process for educating potential candidates about bariatric surgery, getting approved and preparing for surgery to maximize health improvement outcomes.

Solution

Experis provided rapid value realization service and methodology by:

  • Conducting pre-workshop interviews, surveys & foundational research/discovery to align on overarching goals of the project.
  • Conducting a kick off session pre-workshop to align roles, responsibilities & agenda.
  • Facilitating a workshop to refine unmet need, solution, customer ecosystem, value proposition & MVP.

As we worked to build out the client’s digital presence, we conducted UAT testing to validate functionality on various modalities and participated in sprint demos/retros to showcase website and mobile app features and document future sprint priorities. Throughout our work, to keep the project on track, we followed Agile & Scrum framework. Together we co-facilitated daily Scrums to communicate progress on development activities, issues and blockers.

Results

After identifying the problem and goal statement, unmet needs and value propositions, Experis delivered solutions that supported the client's goal of increasing surgical conversion. We delivered two separate digital solutions supporting weight loss surgery education, assessing options and decision-making to facilitate preparation and deliver better health outcomes. Additionally, we developed a custom website and mobile app to increase surgical conversion rate by leveraging learning engines & digital behavior change techniques.
