The Challenge

A major public community college system set out to modernize its data infrastructure to support better decision-making and operational efficiency. With a multi-year transformation ahead, the client needed a trusted partner with the expertise to plan, build and scale a robust data lake solution. The initiative required specialized knowledge, reliable execution and a focus on outcomes that would benefit both administrators and students.

How We Helped

Experis led the design and implementation of a comprehensive data modernization program. At the core of the solution was a data lake and business intelligence initiative powered by 113 data connectors. This enabled the creation of streamlined data pipelines and efficient data flow across the organization.

A separate curriculum data project was also launched to improve curriculum management and deliver insights that would help drive stronger educational outcomes.

Key focus areas included:

  • Building a scalable data lake foundation
  • Creating connectors across student, course and institutional systems
  • Enabling real-time access to accurate, actionable information

The Impact

The project laid the foundation for long-term success in data-driven education.

  • A modern data infrastructure was established to support current and future needs
  • Student and course data was unified, allowing for better insight and planning
  • Curriculum processes were improved with clearer visibility and reporting
  • Both staff and students now benefit from faster, more informed decision-making

This initiative not only modernized how the institution uses data but also positioned the system for continuous improvement and innovation in education.
