Pay Rate: $28.00 - 30.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking Quality Control Specialists to join a laboratory team supporting the manufacture and release of products and incoming materials. We are hiring for two QC openings: one focused on Microbiology and one focused on Wet Chemistry/Chromatography.

We are open to candidates at all experience levels, including those with laboratory experience outside of a cGMP environment. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and hands-on experience with the applicable laboratory testing methods.

QC Microbiology

Candidates with Microbiology experience should have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Bioburden testing

  • Endotoxin testing

  • Environmental Monitoring (EM)

  • Routine microbiological laboratory testing

  • GMP/cGMP laboratory practices, preferred

QC Wet Chemistry / Chromatography

Candidates with Chemistry experience should have experience with one or more of the following:

  • HPLC

  • UPLC

  • GC

  • Wet chemistry testing

  • Karl Fischer analysis

  • Routine analytical laboratory testing

  • GMP/cGMP laboratory practices, preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine QC laboratory testing in Microbiology, Wet Chemistry, and/or Chromatography to support manufacturing and product release.

  • Perform sampling and testing according to approved written methodologies.

  • Accurately document and report laboratory results that are clear, defensible, and right the first time.

  • Apply scientific principles, mathematical calculations, and an understanding of method validation to laboratory testing.

  • Review GMP assay data and communicate findings or concerns to manufacturing teams.

  • Prioritize daily laboratory activities and determine appropriate courses of action with minimal supervision.

  • Participate in laboratory investigations, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving activities.

  • Perform and support non-routine testing, laboratory studies, and special projects.

  • Support the qualification, operation, calibration, and scheduled maintenance of laboratory equipment and computerized systems.

  • Escalate equipment, assay, or testing issues appropriately.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and systems in a functional and validated state.

  • Follow applicable GMP regulations, quality systems, safety requirements, and environmental procedures.

  • Maintain a strong quality mindset by communicating concerns, issues, and best practices.

  • Support QC laboratory operations and site operational excellence initiatives.

  • Maintain assigned laboratory areas in a state of inspection readiness.

  • Work effectively with manufacturing, QC, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Perform other departmental duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline is required.

  • Master's degree is acceptable and may be preferred.

  • No specific number of years of experience is required.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience relevant to the position.

  • Understanding of laboratory testing concepts, scientific principles, and mathematical calculations.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to accurately document laboratory testing and results.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organization and time-management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work in laboratory, manufacturing, and open-office environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous cGMP/GMP laboratory experience.

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or manufacturing laboratory.

  • Experience with laboratory investigations and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with computerized laboratory systems and laboratory equipment.

  • Experience supporting inspection readiness and quality systems.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a 100% onsite position in Hamilton, Montana.

The standard schedule is:

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Depending on workload and business needs, employees may occasionally be required to adjust start and end times by approximately one hour. The position may also require occasional work on shifts, holidays, and/or weekends.

The role involves working in laboratory and manufacturing environments and may include minimal handling of laboratory-generated hazardous waste in accordance with established safety procedures.
