Our client, the logistics and shipping division of a leading biotechnology organization, is seeking an Import/Export Shipping Coordinator to join their team. As an Import/Export Coordinator, you will be part of the Logistics Department supporting the Shipping and Compliance Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Import/Export Shipping Coordinator
Location: Tewksbury, MA
Pay Rate: $30/hr. PLUS Benefits
Job Type: 3-month contract with the potential for hire/extension
Schedule: M-F with 7am start time
What's the Job?
- Prepare and process domestic and international shipments according to customer and regulatory requirements.
- Create and verify export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, customs laws, and international shipping requirements.
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Schedule pickups and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 to 2 years of shipping experience, including domestic and international shipping.
- Knowledge of export documentation and customs procedures (Commercial Invoices and HS/HTS codes).
- Familiarity with shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight providers.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and shipping software.
