Junior Java Backend Developer

Our client is seeking a Junior Java Backend Developer to join their team. As a Junior Java Backend Developer, you will be part of the platform development team supporting MR Software for NPI.  
 

Job Title: Junior Java Backend Developer

Location:Richmond, VA (Onsite)

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• Implement microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breakers, and resilience mechanisms.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy and manage applications.

What's Needed?

• Experience working with Java/JEE, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Spring Boot/Spring.
• Experience working with BDD/Cucumber, GIT, Artifactory, Gradle/Maven, and Docker.
• Experience with Unix/Linux based programming.
• Experience working on complex applications that interface with physical devices (ideally).
• Experience developing and working in Microservices based software architecture.
