Sr. DevOps Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to join their team. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the Quant Analytics Platforms team supporting the Chief Data Office. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer

Location:Owings Mills, Maryland (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $71/hr W2

What's the Job?

• Automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployment processes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure platform high availability and reliability to support critical analytics workloads.
• Implement robust observability and alerting systems for proactive issue detection.
• Implement security best practices in compliance with regulation and enterprise standards.

What's Needed?

• 5+ years of experience with AWS services including IAM, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, and networking components.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, and version control systems like Git.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues in test and production environments.
• Knowledge of distributed file storage technologies such as NFS or FSx for OpenZFS is advantageous.
