Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions industry, is seeking a Software Engineer (GCP & AI) to join their dynamic team. As a Software Engineer (GCP & AI), you will be an integral part of the Data Engineering Department supporting innovative data-driven projects. Senior Data Engineer + AI/Agentic Data Engineer + GCP Platform Engineer
The candidate will:
Build large-scale data pipelines on GCP
Design Lakehouse architectures
Implement streaming data solutions
Enable AI-driven data consumption
Build agent-based data capabilities
Automate governance, metadata, and data quality processes using AI
Work closely with principal engineers and product managers
Operationalize GenAI use cases in production
What's the Job?
- Implement and operationalize modern AI-enabled data capabilities on Google Cloud to ingest, transform, and distribute data for a variety of big data applications.
- Leverage AI and agentic frameworks to automate data management, governance, and data consumption capabilities, including data pipelines, data quality, metadata, and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including principal engineers, product managers, and data engineers, to roadmap, plan, and deliver key data capabilities based on organizational priorities.
- Develop and support Spark-based data ingestion and processing solutions, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Design and develop data flows using Kafka, Flink, and Spark streaming technologies to support real-time data processing needs.
What's Needed?
- 5 to 6 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud data solutions.
- Experience with AI tools such as LangChain, LangGraph/ADK, agentic frameworks, RAG, GraphRAG, and MCP for building agent-based data capabilities.
- Hands-on experience in data engineering, including creating and supporting Spark-based ingestion and processing solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with Data Lakehouse architecture and design, utilizing Python, pySpark, Kafka, Airflow, Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, DataProc, and Cloud Composer.
- Proficiency in developing data flows using Kafka, Flink, and Spark streaming technologies.
