Mechanical Lab Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the medical device and regulated industries, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the R&D department supporting product development and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician
Location: Eagan, MN
Pay Range: $22-$27/hr
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

What's the Job?

• Support Product Development Engineers with research and development initiatives
• Conduct testing for new product development and product improvement projects
• Perform mechanically focused laboratory testing and analysis
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and lab notebooks following established procedures

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, physics, chemistry)
• 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in a regulated environment
• Mechanical testing experience and understanding of physics and material properties
• Ability to work independently while following directions and protocols
• Strong documentation, organizational skills, and familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
