Application Support Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial industry, is seeking a Application Support Engineer to join their team. As an Application Support Engineer, you will be part of the Application Support Department supporting multi-regional teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: Best in the Segment on W2

What's the Job?

• Monitor and manage multiple batch processes to ensure successful completion, investigating and resolving any issues that arise.
• Respond promptly to alerts, analyze issues, and implement resolutions to maintain system stability.
• Create and update support documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and process improvements.
• Manage incidents by documenting issues clearly, maintaining open communication, and following escalation procedures.
• Provide application support by troubleshooting and resolving user inquiries, researching root causes, and recommending preventative measures.

What's Needed?

• 3-5 years of experience in an application support role supporting client applications.
• Strong knowledge of Autosys, UNIX, and Shell scripting.
• Good understanding of SQL, Oracle or similar DBMS, and Hadoop.
• Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent issues and requests effectively.
• Quick learner with the motivation to continuously improve skills and environment.
