EHS Specialist II

Our client, Healthcare Service Center in Oakdale, MN, is seeking a EHS Specialist II to join their team. As a EHS Specialist II, you will be part of the Environmental, Health & Safety department supporting the site’s safety and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Build and implement the site’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program tailored to the facility’s needs
  • Translate corporate EHS standards into site-specific procedures and develop SOPs, work instructions, and documentation
  • Create engaging training materials and conduct employee training sessions to promote safety awareness
  • Monitor compliance and evaluate program performance to ensure continuous improvement
  • Help establish and refine EHS systems and processes for the facility’s safety and environmental management

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related scientific field
  • Approximately 3–5 years of hands-on EHS experience with a proven track record in program development and implementation
  • Experience in writing procedures, documentation, and delivering training programs
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20% and work onsite initially with potential for hybrid flexibility
