Wi-Fi Test Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Wi-Fi Test Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Wi-Fi Test Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting innovative product development teams. What's the Job?

• Perform comprehensive end-to-end user experience testing of gateways, WiFi extenders, and home networking devices, including functional, performance, regression, and interoperability assessments.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using Java and cucumber to enhance testing coverage and operational efficiency.
• Validate WiFi technologies such as 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, mesh networking, band steering, roaming, and wireless backhaul to ensure optimal performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues across entire network systems, working with protocols like DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP, and other connectivity standards.
• Drive automation strategies, improve testing processes, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery of high-quality products.

What's Needed?

• Extensive experience (5-8+ years) in device testing, wireless networking, or broadband hardware.
• Proficiency in testing gateways, WiFi extenders, and home networking devices, with a solid understanding of WiFi technologies including 802.11 standards.
• Strong skills in test automation, particularly with Java and cucumber frameworks.
• Experience working with networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, NAT, TCP/UDP.
• Excellent communication, debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
