Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of the technical support team supporting ship dry dock projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Plan, install, upgrade, test, and document network infrastructure on vessels during dry dock activities.
  • Support modernization of shipboard communication systems including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Coordinate with shipyard teams, marine engineers, vendors, and ship staff to ensure seamless network refresh projects.
  • Review network drawings, rack layouts, port maps, and cabling schedules to support project execution.
  • Configure, test, and verify network devices to ensure optimal performance, redundancy, and failover capabilities.

What's Needed?

  • Experience in planning and executing network upgrades and refresh projects in complex environments.
  • Knowledge of network hardware including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret network drawings, cabling schedules, and rack layouts.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues during installation and commissioning.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and document project activities.
