Our client is seeking a Lab Informatics Business Analyst to join their team. As a Lab Informatics Business Analyst, you will be part of the Data Foundation support team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Engage with lab scientists, QA, compliance teams, and lab IT/system owners to elicit detailed requirements for lab workflows and data needs.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end lab processes, including sample lifecycle, experiments, and results generation.
  • Identify key data entities, relationships, and dependencies, and analyze data flows across systems.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of LIMS, SDMS, and ELN systems to understand data structures, quality issues, and inconsistencies.
  • Translate business needs into data model inputs, source-to-target mappings, and data definitions, ensuring alignment with governance standards.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or Information Systems/Data Analytics with lab experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience in business analysis within lab informatics or scientific data environments.
  • Hands-on experience with LIMS systems (e.g., LabWare, STARLIMS), SDMS platforms (e.g., BIOVIA, LabVantage), and ELN systems (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of lab workflows, instrument data capture, and scientific data lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process modeling, stakeholder engagement, and documentation tools.
