Software Development Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in industrial data management and automation, is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join their team. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be part of the Data & Cloud Solutions Department supporting modernization and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Location: Fully remote, preferred candidates are those located within the Pacific Time Zone; however, candidates from any U.S. time zone will also be considered.

Pay Range: $56 - $58.hr on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)


What's the Job?

• Modify existing databases and database management systems to enhance performance and reliability.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests to estimate time and costs, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Support automation efforts by developing solutions that improve process efficiency and legacy system maintenance.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of experience in software development, with a focus on database systems and automation.
• Proficiency with SQL, VisualBasic, and related development software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and provide constructive feedback.
