Electrical Design Validation Engineer

Our client, a leading technology and hardware development organization, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Design Validation Engineer to join their innovative team. As an Electrical Design Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development Department supporting critical validation processes.  
 

Job Title: Electrical Design Validation Engineer

Location:San Jose, California

Pay Range: $43 per hour
 

What's the Job?

• Validate power and high-speed interfaces in hardware prototypes, including SOC and peripherals, using advanced hardware test equipment.
• Perform end-to-end hardware development lifecycle activities, from requirement analysis to compliance certification for general availability.
• Characterize high-speed interfaces and ensure electrical compliance through rigorous testing.
• Conduct board bring-up, functional, power, thermal, and system integration testing to ensure product robustness.
• Coordinate with client teams and support project delivery with technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

What's Needed?

• Experience with hardware validation, high-speed interface testing, and electronics circuit debugging.
• Proficiency with Power PC/ARM/NXP/Intel processors, FPGA, CPLD, FLASH, DDR 3/4, PCIe, USB, and other high-speed interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, SSA, VNA, and electronic loads.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and regulatory compliance testing.
• Familiarity with schematic and layout design tools such as Orcad, Allegro, DxDesigner, and Mentor Physical Viewer.
