Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data science industry, is seeking a dedicated Linguist to join their innovative team. As a Linguist, you will be an integral part of the Data Science and Engineering department supporting the development and enhancement of large language model (LLM) powered features. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for linguistic data, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?
- Aggregate cross-functional requests and translate them into high-quality datasets through synthetic data collection and live user traffic analysis.
- Deliver comprehensive analytics, statistics, and performance reports on datasets to inform ongoing improvements.
- Design and conduct experiments to evaluate rater quality and inter-rater reliability, and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Develop manual and automated processes for multiple projects, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of labeled data.
- Create and refine quality grading queues for LLM data rating, creation, and annotation needs, supporting emergent project requirements.
What's Needed?
- Basic proficiency in Python and SQL, with a strong desire to develop skills further.
- Foundational knowledge of linguistics, including phonetics, syntax, semantics, or dialectology.
- Ability to analyze numerical rating results and draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Basic understanding of statistics and mathematics relevant to data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
