Principal Data Analyst (Capital Markets)

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Principal Data Analyst (Capital Markets) to join their team. As a Principal Data Analyst (Capital Markets), you will be part of the Enterprise Capital Management Technology (ECMT) supporting critical regulatory programs and technological transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive approach, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Support the Capital Management function within Corporate Treasury by analyzing and interpreting complex data sets.
• Participate in a major technology transformation journey, replacing legacy applications with modern solutions.
• Ensure compliance with critical regulations such as Basel IV and FRTB through meticulous data management and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data ingestion, rules authoring, execution, and analytics capabilities.
• Identify risks, issues, and opportunities for process improvements to enhance regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

What's Needed?

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; MBA is advantageous.
• 10+ years of experience, including at least 3+ years as a data analyst in a delivery-focused, techno-functional role.
• Proficiency in SQL programming, preferably with Oracle Exadata databases.
• Programming experience with Python or Java/.Net; familiarity with Hadoop is a plus.
• Deep understanding of Capital Markets, including Credit Risk, Market Risk, or Capital calculations, and related regulations (Basel, CRR, CRD IV).
