Our client, a leading innovator in the medical device industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled R&D Engineer Sr. to join their dynamic team. As an R&D Engineer Sr., you will be an integral part of the Research & Development department supporting the development of cutting-edge medical technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Location:Westford, MA

Pay Range:$50 to 55/ hr on w2

What's the Job?

  • Provide technical support in the creation and development of new medical device products, including invasive and non-invasive technologies.
  • Identify and initiate programs that result in innovative applications of existing or new products and technologies.
  • Conduct experiments and develop strategies that extend beyond known scientific and engineering precedents.
  • Review technical documents, attend professional meetings, and interface with suppliers and vendors to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Serve as a technical expert, offering advice, assistance, and direction to project teams and management for problem recognition and resolution.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic engineering is required.
  • 3-5 years of electrical design experience, preferably in a medical device environment.
  • Experience with electronic design, schematic capture (preferably using Altium), and prototyping with third-party manufacturers.
  • Experience overseeing testing at compliance test houses for medical devices is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, and assemblies.
