Workplace Services Collaboration Engineer

The Workplace Services Collaboration Engineer is a mid-level technical professional responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining enterprise collaboration systems. This role focuses on ensuring reliable communication platforms—such as Microsoft Teams, telephony, and cloud-based tools—while supporting project teams and enhancing user collaboration experiences across the organization.
 

Job Title: Workplace Services Collaboration Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay Range: $50/hr on W2

What’s the Job?

1. Manage and troubleshoot systems including Microsoft Teams, Cisco telephony, Genesys, WebRTC, and fax solutions (Biscom/RightFax).
2. Assist in deploying collaboration technologies, ensuring adherence to project scope, standards, and best practices.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (local and remote) to execute project tasks, provide updates, and resolve technical issues.
4. Identify opportunities to enhance tools, processes, and system reliability while ensuring compliance with IT and security standards.
5. Provide technical support, process tickets, and contribute to knowledge transfer and cross-training initiatives within the team.

What’s Needed?

1. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, Cisco Call Manager, Genesys, WebRTC, and enterprise communication tools.
2. Understanding of virtualization and cloud environments (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and their application in collaboration systems.
3. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system and application issues.
4. Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to support users and collaborate across teams.
5. Ability to quickly learn new technologies, follow evolving standards, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
