Our client, a leading organization in digital security and identity management, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Location: Johnston, Rhode Island

Pay Range:$60

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and support identity applications and APIs primarily using Java technologies.
  • Collaborate with business and architecture teams during project initiation to ensure requirements are accurately captured and aligned with technical solutions.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and procedures for installation, maintenance, and support of software solutions.
  • Provide guidance to technical teams on code quality, branching strategies, and release management.
  • Ensure successful incremental product releases through effective planning and coordination.

What's Needed?

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java stack including Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience working with RESTful services and back-end application integration.
  • Proficiency in implementing and supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) security best practices.
  • Experience with modern identity protocols such as OpenID Connect, OAuth, and LDAP.
  • Familiarity with cloud identity solutions, microservice frameworks, and container deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
