AI Solutions Engineer – (Engineering Automation)  

Our client, a leading organization in engineering and technology solutions, is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer – (Engineering Automation) to join their innovative team. As an AI Solutions Engineer – (Engineering Automation), you will be part of the Engineering Automation Department supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.  
 

Job Title: AI Solutions Engineer – (Engineering Automation)

Location: Austin, TX (Complete remote but needs someone who is around 60 mins to 1.5 hrs away from Austin. 

Pay Range: $60 per hour on W2 
 

What's the Job?

• Research, prototype, and deliver AI-assisted solutions for engineering tasks across mechanical design, PCB/EE, simulation, documentation, and manufacturing.
• Build and maintain Claude skills, Claude Code workflows, and multi-step LLM pipelines using leading AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and others.
• Write and debug scripts to automate software platforms like SolidWorks, CREO, Maple, Cadence Allegro, Ansys, and similar engineering tools.
• Evaluate new AI tools, models, and APIs as they are released, assessing their potential for engineering applications.
• Translate vague engineering needs into concrete AI-powered prototypes and document workflows clearly for team collaboration.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, software, systems, industrial).
• Experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, Grok, or equivalent, demonstrating practical application.
• Ability to write and interpret Python or other scripting languages, with a focus on automation and scripting in engineering contexts.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, with an instinct to explore unfamiliar tools or platforms independently.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions clearly and effectively.
