Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer to join their team. As a Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer, you will be part of the Quality and Product Engineering departments supporting warranty failure analysis, root cause investigation, and product reliability improvements.  
 

Job Title: Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On Site)

Pay Range: $30 per hour on W2
 

What's the Job?

• Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
• Conduct root cause analysis using engineering methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Analyze failed components related to engine systems and components.
• Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, and containment actions.
• Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, quality engineering, or failure analysis.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and fundamental engineering concepts.
• Experience with teardown analysis and component diagnostics.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.
