Our client, a government agency in the public sector, is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Senior Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the Department of Corrections supporting IT operations and user support. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

What's the Job?

  • Maintain and repair desktops, laptops, and other PC devices across multiple facilities.
  • Install new hardware and upgrade existing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage inventory and properly dispose of outdated equipment following agency policies.
  • Maintain and close work orders within the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist with AV integration and support as needed, providing excellent customer service to users.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and supporting desktop environments.
  • Experience with imaging devices and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be a Wisconsin resident with a valid driver’s record if driving state vehicles.
