Senior Technical Leader

Our client, is seeking a Senior Infotainment Systems Leader (IIX) to join their team. As a Senior Infotainment Systems Leader (IIX), you will be part of the Digital Experience Department supporting cross-functional engineering teams.  
 

Job Title: Senior Infotainment Systems Leader (IIX)

Location:Complete remote (Eastern time zone preferred)

What's the Job?

• Shape, validate, and guide the detailed architecture and system integration of infotainment and digital experience solutions within the Interior, Infotainment & Digital Experience (IIX) domain.
• Design and optimize the in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) platform, including audio, connectivity, vehicle communication, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, high-performance, and interoperable infotainment systems across brands within the Volkswagen Group.
• Translate system requirements into tangible, production-ready designs, bridging conceptual architecture with implementation.
• Lead cross-domain alignment, technical deep dives, and design reviews to ensure seamless integration and compliance with global standards.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software and system architecture design, preferably in infotainment, embedded systems, or consumer electronics domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones.
• Proficiency in architectural design, system integration, and risk management, including safety standards like ISO 26262.
