Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive industry, is seeking a Thermal Performance Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Thermal Performance Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting vehicle development and testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Thermal Performance Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan

Pay Range: $26/hr

What's the Job?

  • Ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved through thermal system analysis and testing
  • Conduct reviews of functional systems, including simulation and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with program chiefs and lab engineers on cooling system status and development test planning
  • Lead communication efforts, including status updates and issue resolution reporting
  • Proactively plan and track vehicle validation activities, supporting aero/thermal attributes and DVP&R testing

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems and drive cell/wind tunnel testing
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead team efforts
