    Our client, a leading technology organization, is seeking a Software Design Engineer to join their team. As a Software Design Engineer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting innovative projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

    Job Title: Software Design Engineer

    Location: Redmond, WA - Onsite

    Pay Rate Range: $59.75 - $61.50 On Experis W2 (Benefits/401k/PTO)


    The ideal resume would contain strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET development, Microsoft Azure, and cloud services; no additional differentiators beyond meeting the main requirements were specified.


    TOP SKILLS TO HAVE:

    Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:

    1) C# / .NET Development (5-7 years)
    • Strong, hands on experience developing production systems using C# across.NET Framework and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+).
    • Proven experience working on large or legacy codebases, including refactoring, modernizing projects, and improving code quality.
    • Experience with SDK style project migrations, NuGet package upgrades, and.NET runtime/framework upgrades.
    • Ability to write maintainable, testable code and troubleshoot complex issues in services-oriented systems.
    2) Microsoft Azure & Cloud Services (5-7 years)
    • Hands on experience building, deploying, and operating services in Microsoft Azure.
    • Experience developing and maintaining RESTful Web APIs hosted in Azure.
    • Practical experience with Azure environments, including subscriptions, resource groups, and service configuration.
    • Familiarity with cloud based CI/CD workflows and platform upgrades impacting live services.
    3) Infrastructure as Code & DevOps Foundations (5-7 years)
    • Strong experience defining and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., ARM templates, Bicep).
    • Experience upgrading or migrating build and deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent).
    • Understanding of infrastructure modernization efforts such as pipeline migrations, environment isolation, and platform compliance requirements.
    • Proven ability to improve developer productivity by strengthening build reliability, test pipelines, and automation.

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
    • 5-7 years of experience in software development and system design

    • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
