Software Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the medical technology industry, is seeking a Computer Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Computer Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting software delivery and deployment for medical diagnostic systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong Linux expertise, automation skills, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range:$42-$45/hr

What's the Job?

• Develop and perform automated software delivery and patch deployment for Linux-based medical devices.
• Participate in patch assessment, testing, and packaging, focusing on deployment to field devices.
• Design, implement, and validate installers and images for software releases via various media including OTA updates.
• Collaborate with R&D, testing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure reliable software deployment processes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of software infrastructure, tools, and processes to support continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals and scripting (bash, Python, Perl).
• Experience with software delivery, installer creation, and automation processes.
• Familiarity with Linux development environments and CI pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
