Our client, a leading organization in the automotive industry, is seeking a Thermal Performance Engineer to join their team. As a Thermal Performance Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting vehicle development and testing teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Thermal Performance Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan

Pay Rate: $26/hr

What's the Job?

  • Ensure vehicle functional objectives are achieved through thermal system analysis and testing
  • Conduct reviews of functional systems, cooling systems status, and development test planning
  • Lead communication and reporting of issues, including status updates and resolution tracking
  • Proactively plan and track vehicle validation activities, supporting aero/thermal attributes
  • Interact with exterior styling studio members as needed for project alignment

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • At least 3 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with thermal development, HVAC, or cooling systems preferred
  • Experience with data acquisition systems and wind tunnel testing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead team efforts
