Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Principal RPA & AI Automation Engineer to join their team. As a RPA Engineer, you will be part of the Automation Services department supporting enterprise automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal RPA & AI Automation Engineer

Location: Laurel, Maryland

Pay Range: $74-80/hr depending on years of experience

What's the Job?

  • Design and implement scalable, resilient automation frameworks and enterprise solutions, including AI-driven capabilities where applicable
  • Architect end-to-end automation solutions across business processes, infrastructure, and testing domains
  • Produce and review solution design documentation (PDD, SDD, DSD) ensuring alignment with standards
  • Own the automation platform ecosystem (UiPath and related tools) including performance, availability, and scalability
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve automation issues to ensure business continuity and system reliability

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in automation engineering, RPA, DevOps, or test automation
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions
  • Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript
  • Experience with UiPath (preferred) or similar RPA platforms (Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)
