Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer - NJ

Our client is seeking an Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, effective communication, and a results-driven mindset, ensuring successful alignment with organizational goals.

Job Title: Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)
position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion

Pay Range: $65-$68/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Convert and modernize existing Mainframe SAS-based processes into optimized Oracle SQL/PLSQL solutions.
• Design Oracle data-processing logic to ensure efficient, accurate migration of complex business processes to the Oracle platform.
• Build support utilities in Python to support automation, data processing, or migration tasks.
• Collaborate with the technology manager for status reporting, planning, and delivery oversight while maintaining minimal direct client interaction.
• Use JIRA to manage work in an Agile or hybrid environment and support team delivery goals.

• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PLSQL development.
• Working proficiency with Python for automation, data processing, or migration support.
• Experience with Mainframe SAS.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow tools in an Agile or hybrid environment.
• Experience supporting or integrating with Java-based applications.

• Opportunity to modernize legacy Mainframe SAS processes into Oracle SQL/PLSQL solutions.
• Clear collaboration model with the technology manager for planning and status updates.
• Minimal direct client interaction, with focus on technical delivery and team support.
