Application Architect III

Our client, Cloud Infrastructure & Enablement team is seeking a Application Architect III to join their team. As a Application Architect III, you will be part of the Cloud Enablement organization supporting cloud architecture and software design activities. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud architecture mindset, a security-first approach, and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and project stakeholders.

Job Title: Cloud Engineer / Cloud Security Engineer - Azure

Location:Hybrid (3 days onsite per week required) — Plano, TX

What's the Job?

• Work across technology to design and deliver solutions aligned with the bank’s cloud strategy.
• Design, implement, and maintain new software solutions as part of cloud enablement, while enhancing existing capabilities.
• Ensure code meets strict standards for accessibility, security, object-oriented practices, and performance.
• Write and execute unit and integration tests to support reliable releases.
• Participate in requirements, architecture reviews, and design meetings; communicate clearly within a software development team that includes developers, quality assurance, and project management.

What's Needed?

• Experience writing infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Experience building and working with public cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on familiarity with Terraform Enterprise and related capabilities such as Private Module Registry and Terraform Sentinel.
• Deep knowledge of web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins and general programming languages such as Java and/or Python.
