HSM / Security Engineer

Our client, enterprise security and payment technology organization is seeking a Hardware Security Module (HSM) Migration Engineer Contractor to support the migration of enterprise cryptographic infrastructure. As an HSM Engineer, you will be part of the cryptographic services and security operations team, helping plan, coordinate, and execute HSM environment migrations while protecting the security, integrity, and availability of critical cryptographic keys and payment-processing services. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a security-first mindset, and the ability to document migration activities clearly, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:Phoenix, Arizona

Pay Range: 53/hr w2 or 62/hr C2C 

What's the Job?

• Plan, coordinate, and execute HSM-to-HSM migrations to support enterprise cryptographic infrastructure transitions.
• Administer and migrate HSM platforms in highly regulated environments, including financial services and payment processing.
• Ensure cryptographic key security, integrity, and availability throughout migration activities to minimize operational risk.
• Support payment-processing and other enterprise security operations that rely on secure cryptographic services.
• Create clear documentation and provide effective troubleshooting during migration planning and execution.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise HSM environments.
• Experience performing HSM-to-HSM migrations.
• Experience supporting payment systems, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to produce accurate, actionable documentation.
