IT Systems Data Analyst

Our client, enterprise technology organization is seeking a IT Systems Data Analyst to join their team. As a IT Systems Data Analyst, you will be part of the Data & Integration organization supporting enterprise data platform delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data profiling skills, experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, and a proven ability to support end-to-end data quality and integration validation.

What's the Job?

• Partner with data architects, data modelers, integration engineers, and business stakeholders to define and document Common Data Layer (CDL) and Common Data Model (CDM) requirements.
• Analyze source system data structures, business rules, and downstream consumption needs to support enterprise data modeling and integration.
• Develop and maintain source-to-target mappings, transformation specifications, field-level definitions, and data lineage documentation to enable governed, reusable enterprise data solutions.
• Use SQL to perform data profiling, reconciliation, transformation validation, and root cause analysis for data quality issues across completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and referential integrity.
• Support Agile delivery by validating mappings and transformation rules, defining test scenarios with engineering and QA, and assisting with integration testing, regression testing, UAT, release readiness, and post-deployment validation.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in IT systems analysis, data systems analysis, enterprise integration, or data platform delivery.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, data profiling, reconciliation, and validation.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, including documenting data flows and system interactions.
• Familiarity with APIs and ETL/ELT processes, and experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira or similar tools.
