QA Tester - Mid-Level

Our client, a technology organization focused on delivering high-quality mobile experiences, is seeking a QA Tester - Mid-Level to join their team. As a QA Tester - Mid-Level, you will be part of the Quality Assurance (QA) organization supporting the mobile testing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive for quality, hands-on experience with mobile test automation, and the ability to communicate clearly across onshore and offshore partners—skills that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:QA Tester - Mid-Level

Location:Austin, TX (Hybrid - 4 days onsite / 5th day remote; candidate can pick their remote day). Primary work location: Austin, TX. Secondary work locations: Westlake or Southlake, TX.

Pay Range: $45-$48/hr 

What's the Job?

• Design and maintain automated test suites using Appium, leveraging existing XCUI (iOS) and Espresso (Android) suites.
• Execute manual and automated tests across mobile platforms, including post-deployment and regression testing.
• Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps, escalating critical issues promptly.
• Develop subject matter expertise in the mobile experiences managed by the team and independently solve complex quality challenges.
• Coordinate QA activities between onshore and offshore teams to maintain seamless workflow and consistent sprint execution.

What's Needed?

• Strong proficiency with Appium for mobile test automation.
• Hands-on coding in Java or other object-oriented languages.
• Working knowledge of XCUI (iOS) and/or Espresso (Android).
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or similar.
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience, including participation in ceremonies and understanding of mobile development lifecycles and CI/CD practices.
