Quality Assurance Analyst

Our client is seeking Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be part of the web application development effort, supporting story testing and quality assurance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and a collaborative mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Madison, WI (Hybrid: 1 day in office per week). Candidates must be WI resident or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense.

Pay Range: $26/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Work with the development team and business analyst to evaluate, verify, and test story acceptance criteria to ensure web applications meet requirements and maintain a consistent UI.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including refinement and scoring, and provide clear, concise written and verbal feedback from story testing.
• Use DevOps (or a similar product) to support testing workflows and collaboration with the team.
• Write and run SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to validate data integrity and confirm system calculations and data manipulation results.
• Identify, document, and communicate corrections to programmers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

What's Needed?

• 3+ years of quality assurance testing experience, including hands-on testing of story acceptance criteria with a development team and business analyst.
• 3+ years of experience using SQL Server Management Studio to view table data and write SQL queries to validate calculations and data integrity.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile Scrum methodology, including roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and cadence.
• 3+ years of experience with DevOps (or a similar product) to support delivery and testing collaboration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing and documentation, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
