Developer - Python

Our client, a technology-driven organization is seeking a Developer - Python to join their team. As a Developer - Python, you will be part of the engineering organization supporting product and data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL foundations, hands-on experience building web services, and the ability to design scalable systems that turn data into reliable, actionable outcomes.

What's the Job?

• Develop highly scalable applications using Core Python, with a focus on building solutions ground-up rather than only maintaining existing frameworks.
• Build and integrate backend services using Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Work with SQL to run data analytics tasks and queries, ensuring accurate and performant data access patterns.
• Collaborate across the stack with exposure to JavaScript technologies (preferably React) to support end-to-end application functionality.
• Contribute to data and analytics workflows in Azure environments, including exposure to Azure Databricks (PySpark, notebooks, repo integration, job workflows, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) and interconnected Azure services.

What's Needed?

• 8+ years of prior experience as a developer using Python and SQL, with strong foundational knowledge and hands-on application development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience working with SQL for analytics tasks and queries, including the ability to reason about performance and correctness.
• Exposure to JavaScript technologies (preferably React) and the ability to collaborate effectively across frontend and backend components.
• Desirable exposure to Azure Databricks and Azure ecosystem components such as Azure Functions, App Service, Containers, and related services (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Event Grid, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Key Vault, Monitor, Log Analytics, APIM, Azure DevOps).
