Network / System Engineer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Network / System Engineer III to join their team. As a Network / System Engineer III, you will be part of the Consumer Banking technology organization supporting load balancing initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical ownership, hands-on experience with F5 Networks and VMware AVI, and the ability to translate complex application and network requirements into reliable, production-ready designs.

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr 

What's the Job?

• Serve as a subject matter expert for load balancing engineering in the consumer banking space, supporting solutions of varying complexity to meet application needs.
• Collaborate with application developers, network and security engineers, and project managers to deploy load balancing capabilities aligned to detailed technical requirements.
• Own high-level design and low-level design for load balancing infrastructure, including configuration details and hands-on implementation support.
• Provide Level 3 support and direction for production-related issues, including troubleshooting and guidance to keep critical services stable.
• Document end-to-end load balancing designs, establish capacity/threshold management plans, and support workload management and lifecycle management of load balancing platforms.

What's Needed?

• Strong background in network engineering with experience in engineering, design, and troubleshooting across enterprise environments.
• Deep load balancing expertise with F5 Networks and VMware AVI, including the ability to lead both design and configuration-level execution.
• Strong network and application security understanding, including the ability to interpret application flows and underlying network behavior.
• Programming and scripting knowledge, including Python, Perl, Java, and JavaScript, to support automation and integration efforts.
• Experience participating in project calls and working with internal groups and lines of business to gather requirements, plus the ability to coordinate with external vendors (F5) on chronic issues, bugs, and feature enhancements.
