Cash Apps Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Cash Applications Analyst to manage customer payment processing, account reconciliation, and payment discrepancy resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong Cash Applications or Accounts Receivable experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze payment trends and resolve complex financial transactions.

Pay Rate: $19- $21/hr/hour on W2
Key Responsibilities

• Process, post, reconcile, and balance high-volume customer payments received through lockboxes, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, PayPal, and Afterpay.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, remittance discrepancies, chargebacks, NSF payments, and ACH returns.
• Process authorized account adjustments, bad debt write-offs, customer refunds, and payment voids.
• Analyze payment data and identify root causes of reconciliation issues and unapplied cash.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Credit, Collections, and Customer Care teams to resolve payment disputes.
• Support the transition from manual payment processing to automated digital payment solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve cash application accuracy, efficiency, and overall processes.
• Assist with training and knowledge sharing for junior team members.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent university degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant Cash Applications or Accounts Receivable experience.
• Strong commercial finance experience, ideally 5–8 years.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic data modeling.
• Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying payment trends and discrepancies.
• Excellent reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• SAP Accounts Receivable (AR) or Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) experience.
• Experience with high-volume payment processing and multiple payment platforms.
• Knowledge of digital payment gateways, chargebacks, and automated cash application processes.
