Senior Tech Lead

Our client is seeking a Application Architect III to join their team. As a Application Architect III, you will be part of the technology organization supporting delivery of end-to-end solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, the ability to guide architecture and design decisions, and a collaborative mindset that helps teams move quickly and safely through complex work.

Job Title:Application Architect III

Location:Addison, TX (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week) or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: minimum 3 days per week)

Pay Range: $68-$73/hr 

What's the Job?

• Own end-to-end delivery while leading a small agile team composed of developers, testers, and a PO.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, including architecture guidance, solution design, and clear direction for implementation.
• Identify and remove roadblocks, resolve design challenges, and ensure delivery aligns with stakeholder expectations.
• Design and evolve distributed systems and microservices with a focus on scalability, resiliency, security, and observability.
• Modernize legacy systems toward cloud-native approaches while applying sound engineering practices across the SDLC.

What's Needed?

• 12+ years of experience with Java and backend frameworks, including Java 8/21, Spring Boot (2/3), Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring Batch.
• Strong architecture and distributed systems experience, including HLD/LLD, microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and performance/concurrency considerations.
• Proven experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and/or MQ.
• Hands-on database experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and related data access patterns (including Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience with Generative AI / Agentic AI concepts and AI-assisted SDLC practices, including GitHub Copilot and prompt engineering.
