Workday Security Lead

Our client is seeking a Workday Security Lead to join their team. As a Workday Security Lead, you will be part of the Security & Compliance function supporting enterprise Workday security governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of personal responsibility, a detail-oriented approach to audit readiness, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver secure, compliant access controls.

Job Title: Workday Security Lead

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)

Travel: Occasional travel to California is required. All approved travel expenses will be reimbursed by the client.

Pay Range: $90 on W2

What's the Job?

• Configure and maintain Workday security domains, security groups, business process security policies, intersection security, and user provisioning/deprovisioning to support enterprise security and compliance requirements.
• Design, document, and govern Workday security controls, including security matrices, role-based access models, segregation of duties (SoD) analyses, and audit-ready security documentation.
• Support security assessments, risk mitigation activities, and compliance reviews by evaluating security impacts, implementing configuration changes, and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and related governance artifacts.
• Ensure Workday security configurations align with organizational policies, labor regulations, and governance standards.
• Uphold a respectful and courteous work environment through integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility.

What's Needed?

• Certified in Workday HCM required.
• Minimum 2 implementations led required.
• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited college/university preferred.
• State & Local Government experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
