Application Programmer III

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an Application Programmer III to join their team. As an Application Programmer III, you will be part of the engineering organization supporting client-facing product development for institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on core development experience, the ability to lead and mentor engineers, and the drive to design scalable, reusable, distributed systems that improve client experiences.

Pay Range: $65-$68/hr

• Drive architecture design of large-scale projects in collaboration with technology partners and business teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Partner with product and business teams to define and drive technical requirements, design, develop, and deploy solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers by providing technical guidance, supporting career development, and reinforcing a growth mindset.
• Proactively guard against cyber threats and drive long-term remediation of key issues to improve security and system resilience.

What's Needed?

• 10+ years of hands-on core Java development with a proven track record delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Strong experience with Liferay portal concepts (Portlets, Layouts, Themes) preferred.
• Experience with multi-threading and building high-performance systems.
• Messaging technology experience such as MQ, TIBCO, or JMS, plus strong UNIX Shell scripting and database skills (SQL, Oracle).
• Proficiency with modern front-end technologies (Angular/AngularJS, React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Maven, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Git/GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible), along with REST/JSON and microservices architecture.
