Network Security Engineer

Our client, a distributed enterprise environment, is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join their team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will support network operations, firewall administration, secure remote-access solutions, and infrastructure security activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer-facing communication, the ability to operate independently, and a strong documentation and process improvement mindset, aligning successfully in the organization.

Location:Waltham, Massachusetts (Onsite/Hybrid)

What's the Job?

• Administer and support SonicWall firewalls, including implementing and troubleshooting firewall rule changes.
• Manage network connectivity across multiple locations and perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support secure remote access solutions and review security-related configuration changes.
• Assist with privileged administrative activities and support network and security operational incidents.
• Participate in infrastructure transition and stabilization activities; create and maintain network and security documentation.

What's Needed?

• 7+ years of Network and Security Operations experience.
• Strong SonicWall administration experience, including firewall policy management and troubleshooting.
• Solid TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP knowledge.
• Experience with VPN and remote access technologies, plus network monitoring and diagnostics.
• Incident response and operational security support experience, including Microsoft infrastructure security fundamentals.
