Product Owner/BA with Market Risk Technology background - NJ

Our client, a leading financial services organization is seeking a Product Owner to join their team. As a Product Owner, you will be part of the Market Risk Technology organization supporting the Market Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong market risk domain knowledge, the ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, and a drive to deliver high-quality outcomes through agile execution.

Job Title: Product Owner/BA with Market Risk Technology background

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr on W2

What's the Job?

• Define the product vision and roadmap, and define/prioritize stories in the product backlog while clearly communicating priorities to stakeholders and the development team.
• Collaborate with business and risk managers to define business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for multiple workstreams across Regulatory and other Global Markets programs.
• Support end-to-end IT change initiatives by implementing updates to market risk processes, systems, and metrics including VaR, Stressed VaR, and risk sensitivities.
• Assist with analysis and testing of implementations to ensure changes meet expected outcomes and quality standards.
• Ensure project governance and control processes are followed to support reliable project delivery.

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of both business and technology domains related to Market Risk.
• Strong understanding of market risk metrics and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III or FRTB.
• Prior experience delivering significant technical work within Global Markets Technology or Risk Technology at a large financial services company.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical, business, and quantitative model partners and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with Excel and SQL, plus prior experience with agile delivery and JIRA.
