Senior Engineer, Database Security & Access Management

Our client, Financial Services is seeking a Senior Engineer, Database Security & Access Management to join their team. As a Senior Engineer, Database Security & Access Management, you will be part of the Database Security Engineering Team supporting database security engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering ownership, clear communication, and a proactive, quick-learning mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:Senior Engineer, Database Security & Access Management

Location:Jersey City, NJ & Plano, TX

Pay Range: $85-$90/hr 

What's the Job?

• Manage design, software certifications, and process automation across database security areas including identity and access management, password vaulting, access management, and encryption.
• Engineer solutions to collect database entitlements and logins across the supported database population within the bank.
• Generate and maintain test cases to validate security controls, access changes, and automation outcomes.
• Address dormancy, revocations, and access drift to help ensure access remains accurate and compliant over time.
• Work within agile practices (Scrum framework values), using tools such as Jira and Horizon to plan, track, and deliver engineering work.

What's Needed?

• Hands-on experience with Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or MSSQL or other RDBMS.
• Hands-on experience with product certifications.
• Hands-on experience with process automation.
• Experience working with Jira and Horizon.
