Lab Tech Sr.

Our client, a regulated laboratory environment, is seeking a Lab Tech Sr. to join their team. As a Lab Tech Sr., you will be part of the Pre-Analytical Laboratory team supporting high-volume specimen intake, accessioning, and sample management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality and compliance, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment—while keeping patient information accurate and well organized.

What's the Job?

• Prepare samples for analysis by performing accessioning, sample management, and specimen storage with high proficiency.
• Receive, sort, and unpack incoming samples regularly; log and track samples using specified software and the Laboratory Information System (LIMS).
• Perform administrative and documentation tasks for incoming specimens, including scanning required paperwork (e.g., pathology reports and requisitions) and filing physical documents per procedure.
• Support order entry and order processing by reviewing patient demographics and sample collection details, and transcribing key medical information from associated documents.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 15189, QMS, GDP, and all lab regulations by following SOPs, recording data accurately, raising quality events when necessary, and participating in process improvement activities.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Basic computer skills (including email usage) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation, including accurate data entry and verification of incoming orders and samples according to SOP.
• Knowledge of lab procedures and understanding of the importance of following all lab regulations, health and safety procedures, and risk assessments.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
