ServiceNow Platform Architect

Our client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Platform Architect to lead the design, governance, and technical strategy of enterprise ServiceNow solutions. This individual will serve as the technical authority across multiple ServiceNow modules, translating business requirements into scalable architecture, establishing development standards, and ensuring successful delivery of platform enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and custom applications. This is an onsite role based in Columbus, Ohio, requiring 32-40 hours per week for a minimum six-month engagement.

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay Range: $110/hr on W2

Job responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, including instance strategy, environment management, governance, and scalability.
• Lead solution design and implementation across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, and custom applications.
• Architect and oversee integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other enterprise integration technologies.
• Establish and enforce development standards, code reviews, testing frameworks, security controls, and platform governance best practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver platform upgrades, performance improvements, technical roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development, implementation, or architecture experience.
• Strong expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules with experience designing enterprise-scale platform solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, GlideRecord, and GlideAjax.
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations, CMDB/CSDM architecture, platform upgrades, and domain-separated environments.
• ServiceNow certifications including CSA (Certified System Administrator), CAD (Certified Application Developer), and at least one CIS (Certified Implementation Specialist) certification.
