Automation Engineer

Our client, Shannon - Offshore Support is seeking a Automation Engineer to join their team. As a Automation Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting Mobile Quality and Test Automation efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to uncover issues early, the ability to lead and enhance mobile test automation frameworks, and the communication skills to collaborate effectively with Product and Engineering teams.

Job Title:Automation Engineer

Location:Charlotte, NC (CLT) — 3 days a week onsite

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr 

What's the Job?

• Innovate to uncover issues during the development phase and improve overall software quality for mobile applications and tablets.
• Implement new testing frameworks for future products and features, with a focus on scalable, maintainable automation.
• Design, develop, and enhance automated solutions covering unit testing, functional testing, UI testing, and performance testing.
• Lead code review of standards, procedures, tools, and quality improvement processes to raise the bar for test automation.
• Maintain automated regression suites/packages to stay compliant with changing requirements and evolving features.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Appium, including developing and documenting test UI automation and application framework enhancements in Java + Appium.
• Java and Shell Scripting (MUST).
• Mobile test automation with Appium (MUST), plus experience with Selenium TestNG.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Testing (manual QA background is acceptable as part of the overall experience), including building automation frameworks from scratch or using open-source tools.
